    As you guys may know or may not know I just recently finished  my bachelor's degree and is trying to figure out where this road is going to take me.In my line of work you have to know somebody that knows somebody to even get a step in the door. And the only way to do that is to get an internship and unfortunately for me you would be lucky if you found a paid internship now a days. Even though I am getting a lot of slack from  particular family members about what I'm doing I know that in the end I am the one who is going to have to deal with my career choices. But I rather be a person who loves what she's doing than a person who spends the rest of her life wishing she had just went with her heart.  I just wanted to say to all those recent graduates out their  to keep your head up!

Nothing Says It's Cold Like A Little Bit of Snow!

Snow storms! Snow storms! Snow storms!!! What can you say? I don't know about you guys but it has currently been snowing A LOT here in Jersey! You can either cry about it or put on some boots and gloves and accept it. And I personally chose to accept it. Even though I love the summer (don't get me wrong: sundresses, sunglasses, bbq's, sandals....the whole nine!) I love fall/winter fashion so much better because there is so much to choose from! Here are some shoes that I have already picked out outfits for ( insert spongebob grin).

Hair Inspirations/ New Years Resolutions

As the year is coming to an end  many of us take on the task of coming up with resolutions for the new year. But somehow these resolutions never seem to last past the first month. I am really hoping that this will not be my fate. So I thought I would share with you guys some of my New Years Resolutions.

1. Want to be more active and exercise more( maybe..dare I say..jog in the morning!)
2. Move on toward my career goals..getting an internship/job
3. Get APL(Arm Pit Length) or somewhere close to their by the end of 2011
4. Learn more about my hair needs
5. Blog more!!!

My Challenge

I have been natural all my life but yet I still feel like someone who just did their BC (big chop) because I never really paid much attention to my hair. For most of my life especially high school I would get the typical " When are you going to get a perm?" or the most recent one " You have been natural all your life? Then why isn't your hair down to your butt?" (..Umm yeah theirs a thing called breakage.) I never really took control of my hair until now. For the past four years since I've been in  college I've had mostly braids and kinky twist. And when my hair was out I would get my handy dandy press and curl. I've been researching about natural hair since my junior year of college through YT and most recently blogs and that has really helped me out. I recently made a promise to myself that I would try for a year not to get braids in my hair ( since that has always been my clutch) and really find out  how to finally take care of the hair thats on my head instead of depending so much on others to do it.

My first attempt of doing a protective style. I got this idea from YT Ms.Vaughn but changed it up a bit. 

My friend Belinda and I . This is just some random hairstyle that turn out great. I braided the sides and the rest is just a twist out w/shea butter.

*My Winter Wish List*

Hey you guys! Since winter is here( I don't care what anyone says its freakin cold....fall my butt..lol) I thought I would share some things I've been drooling over. Here are a few items that I would love to get that can help you cope with the harsh weather. 






















1. Leather Jacket: I think since right now the weather is cold one day and warm the next a leather jacket can be a great thing.I especially like the one that Rihanna is wearing here. I think the design adds a little extra flare.

2. Blazer: I think a blazer should be a staple in anyones closet. You can dress it up or dress it down. Blazer's reminds me of a little "security blanket" for any outfit.  

3. Holiday Dress: With Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years coming up I think its extremely important to have a holiday dress that you can go to. Here Glee's Amber Riley shows four looks that I would love to wear at any holiday party. In order to make it weather appropriate I'm sure you can pair any dress with some tights or some boots.

4. Funky Flats: Flats can be a life saver especially if you need to give those heels a rest. I especially love these leopard skin flats because their versatile enough to be paired with any outfit. 

5. Hair Accessories: I love to try these Forever 21 hair accessories! I've seen so many natural hair ladies rock it and  would love to give it a try.I think this can elevate any simple hairstyle.

        "Color me Yellow" is basically my thoughts in regards to fashion,hair and anything that seems interesting to me.I am a jersey girl  with big dreams and refuses to give up.
